Why do some people look down at bird feeding?

Not all people look down at bird feeding. I love to feed birds occasionally. In Mumbai, you can see many people feeding birds in early morning or in the evening. The Kabutarkhana in Dadar is just awesome for those who want to feed pigeons.

Some, like the management of our housing society look down at bird feeding as they feel that

1. The dropping of the birds soil the terrace, garden and swimming pool
2. The birds are sometimes infected with diseases and they can lead to air borne disease in residents, specially old people and kids.
3. The society has to incur more cost for housekeeping due to the filth created by the birds.
