Is there any point in answering Quora Questions in you are not famous?

You must keep writing because the journey of thousand miles begins with one step. Be thankful that your answers are sulking on Quora. That is the best thing happening to you(I will explain at the end)

I feel, I am one of the most underrated writer here. I am good at details due to my skills as a meticulous planner for a mega project. So, I am sharing some observations that is based on my own experience:

1. Sooner or later struggle and  passion can make anyone popular. But, you have to change the focus from upvotes to the value you are adding to the discussion through your answers.

2. The biggest success of our life comes to us when we least expect it.

3. I saw a newbie girl got around 250 followers for one of her answer which connected with readers, it was about an childhood incident. I was surprised as she was no star, had just 50-60 followers at the time of writing that answer.

4. A boy wrote his second answer on quora, again a newbie and had got 10k upvotes because of his positive attitude after a life changing incident which led to death of his loved ones in an accident . He earned 300-400 followers on single answer.

5. It is more often about emotional connect rather than intellectwhich make people upvote your answer or follow you. There are exceptions like those writing on statistics, aeronautics, etc where the intellect triggers emotion.

Now why it is good that your answers are sulking:

1. Try to figure out the reason. For me, it is because I write long answers, I need to edit my answers to make it relevant to the question because less is more.

2. I am not that smart to write quirky short answers which take 10 seconds to read and bring a smile on the face of their readers.

3. As my readership is less, I know that I have found 20-30 loyal and genuine readers who read my long answers and comment or message how it was helpful. I realized even a single genuine appreciation makes me feel that it is worth writing.

4. Learn from everyone. I am less affected by upvotes. But, I do read a popular answer and try to figure out why so many people have voted for it. It really helps in understanding where we are going wrong. There is always room for improvement.

5. Don't be upset when your answers sulk. Move on to answer the next question that fascinates you. This leaves less time on worry about why the answers are sulking. I wrote more than 300 answers in 2 months. Most of them are long. So, you can get an idea that most of my online presence is dedicated to Quora.

6. I am not facing much struggle in my day job as an engineer as practice had made me quite comfortable at it though it is one of the challenging roles. Here, I am struggling, I am pushing my limits, playing hard to understand the rules of the games and I am sure that one day someone will explore my answers lying in  coffins. They will thrive someday. It's a hope and a dream to see them getting alive.

This dream gets me going. I know I will sound stupid but still Einstein was mocked for the Theory of relativity. Galileo was mocked for saying that earth revolves around the sun against the popular belief. I dream big as small targets don't inspire me.

7. When you will get popularity, people will come and read all that you have written over years. No effort is wasted. Keep editing and improving your answers so that those who read your  answer till end upvote for your efforts and attitude to bring a positive change through your association. Thank you for your time!

PS: I will edit this later to make the whole thing more deeper. Have to improve a bit on formatting as well.
