It was the year 1997 when many people planned a mass protest against a transport company. People felt that the company is not paying due attention to quality of service. After an outstanding run of two years, the company was going through a lean patch. They earned bad reputation because of couple of incidents of unacceptable behavior by their drivers. Then few serious accidents also made the matter worst for them.
The employees of the company were in constant fear to lose job as they could sense the public sentiment against their company.
A mass protest was scheduled on a sunny afternoon to put pressure on the government to ban the company from operating.
But then...the owner of that company came with a unique idea.
He asked all his drivers to ferry people to and fro from the place of protest free of cost so that people don't face any trouble in commuting.
People were surprised by this move. They couldn't understand what made the company to facilitate a protest that will ruin their business. But, the confusion diluted the intensity of the protest.
Some felt that this was a heart heartwarming move by the company... Few felt that the company is trying to bribe them.
But, when the people started to discuss the public opinion.
Everyone was surprised that the majority changed stance and felt that the company must be given an opportunity to improve and should not be banned.
So, in this way by his out of the box thinking, the owner of the company averted a disaster saved his company and thousand of jobs. Later, he never looked back and became one of the best company of the country.
