Proud on you Vijender!! The Great Muhammad Ali was also a Professional Boxer

Why we create a controversy when there is none!!

I have not followed news for last couple of days and pardon me for my ignorance that I didn't knew what he had done and whats the fuss all about. 

I almost felt that he has done some blunder!

Thank you Sagar Agarwal for clarifying my doubts. You have already posted an informative answer. I only want to ask all those who are questioning his move that

1. You must know that he has only went to the next level and there is nothing to be upset about.
2. India has a good number of Amateur boxers who can win medal for us in Olympics and Commonwealth games. We are a country of billion and we are just so much affected by Vijender not playing Olympics.
3. News channels should provide unbiased news. I was seeing headlines like Vijender can't play 2016's Olympic but had no idea what action he has taken. Had he done something illegal. No.  Media should have presented a rationale picture, not a biased one. What's wrong even the great Muhammad Ali was a Professional boxer and he was loved and respected all over the world.
4. It is the best thing that could happen to Indian Boxing. Now, apart from Amateur boxing, Indian boxers can dream of entering professional boxing.
5. And, Guys we have no dearth of talent.. we can produce large number of  brilliant professional and amateur boxers.
6. One last thing " His Life His Dream His Choice- Life is Beautiful ". And for those who are thinking that the government has spent crores on him, they must realize that he has paid back in full. Also, he is going to make INDIA proud in the Professional Boxing. Let him follow what he wanted to be in Life. He is neither a slave nor a bonded labor. Hope this clarifies.
