Do Google Interview employees of the companies acquired by it

When a company is acquired by Google, do the company's employees now have to go through the Google interview process?

Yes, all employees have to go through the interview process. The most common reason for rejection of employee's of an acquired company is the lack of suitable role for them in Google. Google don't like to have non-engineers managing engineers.

In 2001, google fired many in its own middle management as it felt that they weren't adding value. So, the message is loud and clear that they don't accept someone who they feel are not adding value to the organisation.

From an unconfirmed source, I learned that the Founder of a company acquired by Google was not selected in Google after getting interviewed for different roles.

The result is shocking as how can you acquire a company and hire the employees but leave out the founder. I was astonished to know that Google felt that the Founder was a jack of all trade and Google doesn't had a profile where the founder was fitting and hence she was left out.

Google gave a fair chance to her by interviewing her for different roles as Product Manager, Sales Manager, etc. As Google wanted someone who is a specialist not a generalist hence she was left out.

I truly feel sad for the lady though she earned hefty sum by getting acquired but I feel for her.

Google is truly a value driven organisation!
