What I Want Every Indian To Know?

Yesterday, I was having a discussion with an Indian (Muslim). The discussion we had unfolded many interesting anecdotes from our first hand experience. And, I want every other Indian to know these irrespective of their religion.
  1. He told that when he was in UAE, the feeling of patriotism knows no boundary.
  2. When we are outside our country, we only identify the other person as a fellow countrymen, an Indian- not a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Bihari, Punjabi, etc
  3. The Religion, caste, creed, regional or linguistic boundaries are not at play when we are outside India.
  4. Politicians divide.... Pakistan Unite....what an Irony? We consider Pakistan as an enemy and it's our enemy which unite us- which makes us rise to the occasion to show our patriotism every time a terrorist strikes.
  5. When he was in Abu Dhabi, he and his Pakistani colleague were returning to their respective home country. While he was given a royal treatment, the other guy was interrogated as if he was a criminal.
  6. When  his Pakistani colleague questioned about the different treatment to him, he told that it's all about the difference in the colour of our Passport. Our blue Passport is ourgateway to respect.
  7. I can see the pride of my friend who was beaming with pride that there is immense respect for India & Indians in UAE, unlike Pakistan.
  8. Only in areas with less literacy, the caste and religion are still an issue. TheProgressive Indians are very accommodating of the personal belief of anybody else.
  9. India is a tolerant nation. You cannot judge the character of a nation by a few off incidents which can happen anywhere in the world. There are always some miscreants in every community and every nation.
  10. His Hindu friend once told that he went to Mosque in UAE as all his friends went and he even read Namaz with them. Personally, I appreciate such gestures. After all, a Hindu won't turn into a Muslim by doing so, neither a Muslim can became hindu if he celebrates Indian Festivals with friends.
  11. In college, when we used to play Holi, the hindu festival of colors, our Muslim friends were more than happy to not just join but take the lead.
  12. And, we used to do small gestures of kindness during Ramazan for our Muslim friends.
  13. If you're educated and still you've so much hatred against the other communities then I seriously worry about the quality of education imparted to you.
  14. Please education anyone who has any kind of negative feeling for the other communities- whether based on religion, gender, caste, creed, region, language. I've done a little in that direction, request you to keep the Chain of Unity moving forward through each one of us.
  15. Indian loves India- End of story. No need to classify us as Indian Hindu, Indian Muslim, etc.
  16. Hinduism is a way of Life. We have many Gods. We are mocked for having so many Gods. Actually, the supreme God is one. The other Gods are manifestation of the same Supreme God. Everyone can have different Gods who appeal to the follower. There are various philosophies and there is nothing like right or wrong. Everything is a different shade of grey.
  17. So, we have a luxury to customize our Gods. Someone may be a ardent follower of Lord Shiva, someone else might me considering Lord Vishnu as the supreme God.
  18. It's so flexible. I love it because there is no hard and fast compulsion. I also love to see the dedication of a Muslim friend who would pray 5 times a day. After all, it's our private affair, why should anyone else judge someone else's religious belief.
  19. And, that's harmony. I wish I am able to convey my message clearly. Pardon me for even slightly hurting anyone's sentiments.
Jai Hind!
