Best ways for a Fresher to save money and help the society with the little we have

Someone has rightly said that " Where there is a will there is a way"

I am no expert but I genuinely want to answer this question to earn some good karma points.

I am suggesting the following ideas which are simple

Ideas to save/generate money
  • Money saved is money generated- Cut down on any expense which is really not essential. Cut down on Mobile and Internet bills.
  • Use freebies more often- Ola/Uber offers free rides or discounted rides, Foodpanda will offer heavy discount on Food, Freecharge will give some discount on mobile recharge/ DTH recharge/ Bill Payment, Redbus offers discount of bus tickets, etc.
  • Use your good communication skills- You can be a tutor for conducting a GD or for taking a Personal Interview if you have good communication skills. Online Tutoring is also a rage. If you are in places like Bangalore, which is a hub for job seekers . You can take the role of a mentor at a coaching Institute for imparting soft skills to job seekers. You will earn a part time income and you will learn also.
How can we help the society with whatever little we have?

We can do plenty of things to make our society a little better like
  • Donate old clothes that are of no use to your family. There are NGOs in metro cities whom we can call and they will come and collect it.
  • Donate Food- Once in a while, make food packets and give it to poor people. It is like a drop in the ocean but it will really feed those 15-20 people at that time. So, it's worth the effort.
  • Be Kind and compassionate- We can create a positive atmosphere around us which will benefit us and all around us.
  • Encourage parents to help people who are earning less like Maids, Watchman, Washer-man, Driver, etc. May be a one time help of INR 5000-10000 Rupees on the marriage of the daughter of an underprivileged person will go a long way.
  • Save power, don't keep the fan on when no one is in the room, check if all the taps are secure or is there any leakage. Water, power are resources which will be needed by future generations as well. Let us make sure not to waste it.
  • If there is a function at your home or neighborhood then you can volunteer to donate the left out food to a NGO so that rather that getting wasted that can feed some poor hungry people.
  • Someone is always in need around you- Figure out those people who need your help but are unable to ask you. It will not cost you a penny to boast the morale of those who have helped you when you needed them. There is always a perfect way to give back.
  • Think good- A person who thinks positive thoughts releases positive radiations and it helps people even hundreds years after today. Every thought is radiated so let us release more positive thoughts to make the future better.
All the best for the noble thought.
